# hello-world The smallest useful capsule: an OpenAI-compatible chat endpoint that greets you back. No model, no GPU, no network. Read it first; every other example adds one thing to it. ## What it shows - The three required files: `capsule.toml`, `start.sh`, `AGENT.md`. - A pinned image (`python@sha256:…`) instead of a Dockerfile. - What m64 serves for you: `/status`, `/agent` (this capsule's `AGENT.md`, with the URL filled in) and `/human/` (the `human/` folder). - How the server tells m64 it is ready: a JSON line in `$M64_STATUS`, then 200 on `/health`. ## Run it ```sh m64 lint examples/hello-world m64 check examples/hello-world # the checks motif64.sh runs on upload m64 examples/hello-world # serve it and open /human/ ``` `capsule.toml` targets `linux-x86_64`. On an ARM machine, set `platform = "linux-aarch64"`; the image is multi-arch. ## What to look at - `/human/`: the page explains the capsule and has a form to try it. - `/agent`: the same information for an agent, with copy-paste `curl` lines. - `curl /v1/chat/completions -d '{"messages":[{"role":"user","content":"hi"}],"temperature":1}'` is refused with a 400 by m64's front: a chat capsule only accepts the fields listed in `AGENT.md`. - `m64 net `: no connections at all, because the capsule has no `[network]`.
